Apple Crumble
What do you make with a bunch of fresh apples? Apple crumble! This crumble is gluten-free and refined-sugar free. You'll love the cozy cinnamon crumble on top of the sweet and slightly crunchy apples!
Ingredients
- 3 apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1½ cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts optional
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- dash salt
- ½ cup butter, cubed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Chop the apples
- Make the apple mixture by mixing the apples, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and cornstarch together in a bowl.
- Transfer the apple mixture to a circle pie dish or a 9x9 baking pan.
- Make the crumble by mixing the oats, almond flour, sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Add the butter and mix it into the rest of the ingredients with your hands. I like to use cold butter, and then just work it into the ingredients until a crumble texture starts to form. It's okay if there are some small chunks of butter still.
- Spread the crumble mixture over the apples.
- Bakes for 30 minutes.
