Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts optional
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • dash salt
  • ½ cup butter, cubed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350.
  • Chop the apples
  • Make the apple mixture by mixing the apples, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and cornstarch together in a bowl.
  • Transfer the apple mixture to a circle pie dish or a 9x9 baking pan.
  • Make the crumble by mixing the oats, almond flour, sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add the butter and mix it into the rest of the ingredients with your hands. I like to use cold butter, and then just work it into the ingredients until a crumble texture starts to form. It's okay if there are some small chunks of butter still.
  • Spread the crumble mixture over the apples.
  • Bakes for 30 minutes.
